Born out of Frustration with the power companies dictating the price of electricity, the principal of the company Mark Uden with 20 years’ experience in engineering design decided to take the bull by the horns and find an alternative way to supply low cost power to his own home.
Disillusioned by the lack of real knowledge and expertise in New Zealand around solar and renewable power he decided 8 years ago to do what kiwi’s do best and design his own off grid system. This would totally remove his dependence on the ever increasing price of electricity supplied by the power companies.
The next step was to find an experienced electrician with a good solid background understanding of solar power systems.
So three electricians later….
Enter Raymond Dun with 25 years’ experience as an electrician and also a qualified engineer, with experience in solar power dating back to the nineties when he was involved in the refitting of light houses from the previous diesel systems over to their new solar setup.
